Student Services as a Profession: Expertise, Impact and Leadership in Irish Higher Education

This year’s seminar marks the official launch of the SAI Professional Competencies Framework, a major milestone that defines, strengthens, and elevates the role of student affairs professionals across Irish higher education.

Developed collaboratively by SAI members, this framework captures the expertise, values, and real impact of your work, supporting professional development, advocacy, and meaningful engagement within institutions.

Featuring International Keynote Speaker – Dr Andrew Ryder

An internationally recognised expert in student affairs, assessment, and professional practice, Dr Ryder brings a wealth of experience from institutions such as the University of North Carolina Wilmington, MIT, and Northeastern University. His work has directly influenced the development of the SAI Competencies Framework, making this a keynote not to be missed.
