13th June
9:30 am -
Atlantic Technological University - GALWAY City Campus

Student Affairs departments have always been flexible, dynamic, responsive to change and challenge, and, above all, student-centred. This was never so obvious as during the COVID-19 pandemic, an unprecedented global event in our times that impacted on every one of us, personally and professionally. The ongoing commitment of student affairs professionals to student wellbeing, engagement and success, despite being at distance during the pandemic, is something to be celebrated, reflected on, and learned from. There is no doubt that student affairs professionals were vital in HEI outreach to students during this time.

With our campuses having returned, in the main, to in-person teaching and learning, this is an ideal moment to come together to reflect on what we have learned, how the last number of years has impacted on the continuous growth and development of our profession, and how, with the availability of new and creative approaches, coupled with blended modes of delivery, we are all striving to maximise student engagement and ongoingly nurture student supportive environments.

With the emergence of Technological Universities and staff changes within student affairs, we are aware that people may not always receive this invite. Please feel free to circulate within your HEI.
